At this meeting we discussed their proposals. UNISON Quarriers Branch proposed changes which involves a sliding scale of cuts to everyone rather than hitting certain grades the hardest, this would mean that the lowest paid woud have a smaller cut but those on the highest scale would pay more. We see this as a more socially equitable scheme which recognises the financial position Quarriers is in.. Quarriers are considering our proposal and we will be meeting soon to go into details on it.

Please be assured that we are working as hard as possible to reach a settlement on the Pay & Conditions review. We will hold a formal meeting on the 30th June at 11.30 and it is our intention that this will not be a short meeting
