My name is Ann Farquhar i have been  a union member for several years within the unison

quarriers branch.

Recently i took on the role of branch treasurer and we are currently upgrading how the

branch stewards communicate between each other and its members.

we are all doing training on computors so we may be more accessable to each other

and members. It may take a while to get the hang of evrything hopefully in the near

future it will benefit us all.

 

 

I had a telephone call from a union member who was very stessed and upset about her wages

i spoke to her in detail about her grievence and tried to reassure her about her worries

and said i would look into aspects of her complaint she said she felt a bit better having

had someone to listen as she had spoken to human resources and felt she hadnt been

given any respect on her grievence.
